Post-Pico Spot Treatment Care Instructions (For targeted treatment of spots, freckles, and ADM) ■ What to Avoid Do not rub, scrub, or press the treated area Avoid any irritation to the treated area (massage, scrubs, etc.) Avoid saunas, hot stone spas, and long baths Refrain from intense exercise and excessive alcohol consumption Avoid excessive sun exposure ■ Managing Redness and Scabbing Mild redness, tingling, or slight swelling may occur immediately after treatment, but usually subsides within a few hours to a few days A thin scab may form within a few days to about a week—do not pick or peel it off Allow it to fall off naturally while avoiding irritation and keeping the area well moisturized If needed, gently cool the area with a cold towel or ice pack ■ Makeup & Skincare Avoid makeup on the day of treatment From the next day, makeup can be applied if redness and irritation have subsided While scabs are present, avoid applying makeup directly over the treated area as much as possible Avoid using irritating skincare products (such as vitamin C, retinol, or peeling agents) for about 1 week Be diligent with moisturizing and sunscreen use ■ Lifestyle Precautions (for about 2 weeks) Practice strict sun protection and always apply sunscreen when going out Avoid saunas, hot stone spas, intense exercise, and alcohol until redness subsides Wait at least 2 weeks before undergoing aesthetic treatments such as facials, cosmetic acupuncture, or other laser procedures To prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, avoid friction and sun exposure ■ Treatment Timeline After the scab falls off, a light pink tone or slight discoloration may temporarily remain This will gradually fade and blend with your skin over several weeks to months Depending on the type of pigmentation, multiple treatments may be required ■ When to Contact the Clinic Redness or irritation worsens after a few days Severe pain, blistering, or pus occurs Noticeable hyperpigmentation after the scab falls off Hypopigmentation (lightened patches) appears If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact your clinic.
